Overview

Rao Manzoor-ul-Haque Khan is the Principal Solicitor and Managing Director of Morgan Hill Solicitors, a multi-disciplinary English law firm with offices in Ilford, the City of London, Romford, and Manchester, serving domestic and international clients across Africa, the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia.

A dual-qualified lawyer with over twenty years' post-qualification experience across two jurisdictions, Rao advises corporates, financial institutions, high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and senior professionals on commercially sensitive and legally complex instructions. He takes personal conduct of the firm's most sensitive mandates, and is regularly instructed on matters that require close coordination between English law and overseas jurisdictions.

Qualifications & Admissions

Rao was called to the Bar in Pakistan as an Advocate of the Subordinate Courts on 9 February 2002, and elevated as an Advocate of the High Court on 12 February 2004 (Punjab Bar Council Roll No. 23180). He was subsequently admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales on 15 November 2010 (SRA No. 473740).

Before founding Morgan Hill Solicitors in 2020, he practised at London-based SRA-regulated law firms, while continuing to lead the practice of Morgan Hill Solicitors & Advocates in Pakistan.

Rao is a Member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn, and serves as the firm's Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) and Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA).

Earlier in his career, Rao advised on substantial finance and capital markets transactions in Pakistan — including USD and PKR syndicated bank facilities, Shariah-compliant Murabaha financings, secured and rated corporate bond issues, and cross-border equity acquisitions — working alongside international law firms in London, Paris, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi.

That transactional pedigree continues to inform his approach to legally and commercially complex instructions, and underpins the firm's capacity to act on cross-border matters where English law intersects with the laws of Africa, the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia.
